“Why Shouldn't Tommy and Jim Have Sex: A Defense of Homosexuality” - John Corvino

“Why Shouldn't Tommy and Jim Have Sex: A Defense of Homosexuality” is a careful and argumentative text written by John Corvino. It is, indeed, exceptionally good. Not only concise (about 12 pages), but also very straightforward. It presents a number of arguments and evidences, in a very useful and practical way.

One by one, the arguments against the morality of homosexual relations are demystified. It cites, briefly the historical moment when the Supreme Court of the United States repealed legislations that prevented interracial marriage and many other enlightening historical examples that show how similar to such problems is the question of the morality of homosexuality.

Moreover, it defeats the enemy in his own territory, assuming most of the premises that lead people to believe that homosexual sexual relations are wrong. It defends, for example, that it is coherent to believe in the bible and be a Christian and yet think that it's okay for Jimmy and Tommy to have Sex. This text is very, very interesting.
